Tyler has a lot of experience working as a respite companion for those living with a loved one with dementia. He learns about clients’ interests and life stories. He then plans activities and steers conversation accordingly. Tyler is also dementia-care certified through the Alzheimer’s Association.
SeniorAsset also provides medical appointment transportation. Tyler has experience taking seniors to medical appointments and procedures, ensuring clients get checked in, providing company during the wait, advocating during appointments (if requested), and bringing clients back home after. This can be a great fit for those with dementia, mild cognitive impairment, or visual impairments. It can be a great fit for those who need someone to wait for them during a cataract surgery, colonoscopy, or other procedure.
Tyler is also experienced in providing technology assistance. He has set up several printers, home phones, I-pads, and other devices. He is also a patient teacher and is happy to show seniors how to better utilize their devices.
