Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s is incredibly difficult. You can’t do it alone. My name is Tyler Leonard. I’m the owner and only caregiver at SeniorAsset. I’ve been working as a companion caregiver for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia for several years. If you’re doing it alone, find help. Whether it’s me or someone else, you deserve it.
There are several advantages to using myself or someone like me versus a bigger agency:
1) Continuity of Care: I’m the owner and only caregiver, so you don’t have to worry about caregiver turnover.
2) Safety: I’m licensed through the Minnesota Department of Health, insured, and CPR-certified. I’ve been working as a companion caregiver since fall of 2021.
3) Communication: Since I’m both the owner and caregiver, I’m able to update loved ones directly.
4) Flexibility: I can see a client 1 hr as needed up to longer visits several times weekly. Most larger agencies have high minimums.
I provide both respite care — giving full-time caregivers a break — and regular companionship for seniors who don’t have family nearby (or who are too busy to visit frequently).
In addition to companion care, I provide round trip transportation to medical appointments. I often advocate for my clients while I’m there. I also provide technology assistance for some clients, including setting up printers, TV, and WiFi and showing seniors how to use their devices.
I’m based in St. Louis Park, MN, and I service most of Hennepin County. You can read more information on companion care here, view the locations I serve here, and contact me via email here.
